I'm up for it. 17th or 24th should be good for me.
I'll probably overnight in the van so if anyone can recommend a good spot to park up?

Looks like a great scene, I quite like this black and white version and I can imagine it looking great in colour.

Metering, what's gone wrong?
Hi All, I’m wondering if someone would help me diagnose a metering problem. Recently I seem to be underexposing and I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong. I used to just take a stab at what the mid-tone should be but to take more control I decided to try averaging the darkest and lightest ar...

Re: No more 3 bath Fuji kits?
It's a bit of a pain. I was about to order a new Fuji 3 bath from FirstCall this week and discovered they had sold out. At the moment I'm leaning towards the 3 bath Tetenal for no particular reason than trying it out. From all of the info I've read there doesn't seem to be much difference between t...

Hi Martin,Martin Jan Köhler wrote:Hello Paul,
I have ordered two Fuji 3 bath Kits from AG Photographic UK some weeks ago.
Best regards,

AG only seem to list the 6 bath kits on their website, same with Firstcall which is where I got my previous 3 bath kit from.

No more 3 bath Fuji kits?
I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on the best way to go now that we can't get the E6 3 bath Fuji Hunt kits any more, 6 bath Fuji or 3 bath Tetenal ?
I'm just a bit worried that 6 baths means twice as many opportunities to get it wrong
Thanks,
Paul.

Re: Fuji Velvia 50 5x4 @ Robert Whites
Same here :( I ordered some first thing this morning then got an email saying out of stock, 3-5 days expected delivery. I'd also ordered 2 boxes of full price film last week which was out of stock and no delivery expected until late February, they asked me today if I'd like to change that order for ...

Re: Time to stock up on Portra
Sad news, looks like I picked a great time to get into film
In brighter news, Robert White have sold out of Velvia 50 and they don't know when they'll get more stock, I hope that's just a stock control problem and not a sign of anything

Re: Epson V750
Could it be that you've got USM sharpening turned on in Epson Scan but not in Silverfast, or turned on in both but stronger settings in Epson Scan?
I'm probably stating the obvious so apologies for that

Re: Fuzzy focusing
I've got the Paramo and love it but fogging can be an issue and I guess it will be with any good light-tight cloth once you stick your head in there and start breathing on the cold GG I just wipe the GG down if it gets to be a problem.

Re: Definition of "Fine Art"?
The wiki also tries to define the word ‘fine’… “The word "fine" does not so much denote the quality of the artwork in question, but the purity of the discipline” …and given that then I would say you can’t get much purer than LF film photography. Then again I guess I might argue that other photograph...
