Sorry about that. Yes, you are right. I would like to claim English is my second language but unfortunately it's my first!

Re: First LF camera Sinar f2 bought need accesories

Muzz I have an unused 6x Manfrotto lupe* if you are interested. Bought it new but never used it as I prefer the Schneider 4x lupe, which is lighter & better optical quality.... at a price! http://teamworkphoto.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=13879&zenid=47af8q5d7cv7js8ec...

Re: Photobackpacker 4x5 RPT Cascade Film Holder Case

I'll let you know what extra Customs charge I pay and how I find it when I use it in the Spring-Summer next year. 8) It arrived Friday, with no custom charges levied (unless they are levied later!). It has 6 separate zipped, black pouches to hold the DDS and the end of each (closed) zipper has a bl...

Re: First LF camera Sinar f2 bought need accesories

Hi Muzzy The binocular magnifiers are not necessary. You will soon get used to viewing the image on the GG (fresnel screen) upside down. Just remember Australians live upside down and have to get used to viewing the Earth upside down... All you need is a 4x lupe for close focussing on the GG ...

Re: WHERE TO buy cheapest film from USA/Uk

Hi Muz I've taken my LF camera & sheet film on several cruises to Scandinavia where the film (in Fuji QuickLoad format: Velvia 50 & 100 & Acros) has passed through the ship's on-board X-ray machine with no ill effects. Higher speed films are likely to be more sensitive to radiation. On the B&W film ...

Re: new member from manchester

Hi Muzamil My first foray into LF was with an MPP Mk V camera - one that I now know was a prototype model & never released for general sale! I bought it as part of an outfit for £500 and sold it several years later for £500! The camera is essentially a box with bellows ideally offering some mo...

Re: Which Large Format to buy/usage/advice

Muzamil You also might like to come along to a local or more national meeting of the UKLFPG when we hold one so you can look at the types of camera available and their usage - should you find with the monorail (Sinar) camera that you enjoy large format photography. The ideal light meter would be a s...

Re: Ilford Delta 100 Dynamic Range

I'm sorry to disillusion you George but that shot was taken on Fuji Acros, developed in Ilford DDX @ 1+9. But I would expect similar results from Delta 100. What do you mean by "gash" film? Excuse my ignorance, but I don't know the meaning of the term... I'm sorry, "gash" is a term for film that ha...

It is optional, but you might want to give it a go. Does anyone else have any suggestions of this front?

Have you tried using hardener in the fixing solution? (If it allows you to add it).

I tried this out last year but found I had problems using it in the field on my own. I think you really need someone to hold the scale for you. :(
