I have to say bad luck, but shop around there are the occasional shutters on ebay, or damaged lenses you could take a shutter from. Price wise I think Joanne's wrong, I paid the same as you (well actually a bit less) for a similar but fully working Super Angulon last year. That's all these lenses se...

Well I've been using Cokin filters since they were first released, and I've never noticed a difference in print quality between no filer, Cokin filter or the couple of Hi-tec filters I've used. I also have some Lee colour correction filters. That doesn't mean there might not be a very slight variati...

The info I posted earlier was from the Linhof Studio website. It's clear there and on the Bergger site that the 200 & 400 are the Classic films, which were manufactured by Forte. Actually the expiry date shows yours it's not a new film, as it's quite short dated. The film's OK I've only used it in 1...

240mm Symmar

I really must find my 240mm Symmar, as you've found it's great wide angle for a 10x8 camera, I only ever used mine for 5x4 copy work (commercial), and it's probably boxed away somewhere.

But now I shoot 10x8 it would be really useful . . . . .

Bit like telling a vegetarian your cookin bacon  Tony You did ask if anyone had one gathering dust  :D I bought if for my 6x17, then decided to use my Grandagon on it instead but I find I never use 90mm for panoramics, much preferring my 75mm. So I may sell the 90mm Super Angulon in a c...

I have one sat in an attic in Worcestershire, but I plan to use it, when I'm back in the UK at Easter. There's one listed on APUG at the moment for $300, which is about the normal price of an early single coated f8 90mm Super Angulon. There are plenty about, but you need to make sure the shutters ok...

No I won't mention names but you'll find posts discussing peoples recommendations of UK suppliers on this and other forums, and mention of the more problematic ones.

Beware of shopping at Focus on Imaging, while most suppliers are perfectly reputable I've had problems twice buying at the show. Sellers like Robert White are fine but watch the ones who don't have such a good reputation. It can be a pain returning and getting refunds for faulty goods. (Both my case...

I've used a 240mm Symmar, superb lenses, the Sinaron should be equally as good, I assumme its a rebadged Sironar. In fact I have a 240mm Symmar somewhere but I've not seen it for years. The 210mm f6.3 Computar Symmetrigon will probably only just cover 10x8, but don't expect to much from it, it's the...

Dunco enlargers aren't or rather weren't that common in the UK, but are well engineered and expensive. Firstcall sell them for well over £1000.

You may have a De Vere enlarger with a Dunco head on it, try this link for details.

Vanman

At least you've been outed as Pete Watkins.

Kentmere production is moving to Mobberley, that means the coating plant which Ilford needs to manufacture Berge materials. The Ilford coating machinery is too large.

That doesn't leave much to sell abroad.

Light fall off is not a problem using 5x4 with the f6.8 90mm Grandagon, I've been using mine for 20 years with absolutely no problem. However my 65mm SA does have fall off on 5x4, but as I only use it very occasionally for B&W work it's easy to correct at the printing stage. If I could find a reason...
