Re: Have you purchased a high end print

Well it's a gloss paper - but other than that I've got no clues. I'm havin the glass replaced in the new year so I shall check then when it is out of the frame.

Re: Last orders for Velvia 50 QL in UK

So, I've more or less run out and I've got a long trip over Christmas that will require plenty. I've ordered two boxes - has anyone received any yet, or is the shipment that was supposed to have arrived late?

Re: Have you purchased a high end print

I've just received this morning a print of Joe's (looks like an inkjet) and honestly, the quality is superb and stands up to pixel gazing no problems. The colour reproduction is very good too - couldn't be happier. Not sure where I'm going to put it though.... It's a limited edition of 1 too - won i...

Re: Competition - Win Your Own Exhibition

I was referring to "which bit's the good"

I think it's a picture of roseberry topping.(surprise surprise) I haven't seen it yet - I'll let you know when I do.

Interesting that they're all urban.

What do you all think? The brief was "the good the bad an the ugly"

Re: Competition - Win Your Own Exhibition

Rather shamefully it was this image that won me the prize http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2775/4016755470_e3a0101191.jpg It wasn't a large format shot, but a digi one. Tried to take it with the Ebony, but I couldn't really get the camera in the right place. I did submit the Acer one, but I don't thin...

Re: Competition - Win Your Own Exhibition

Thanks for pointing this competition out - I did think it was worth a punt and so put a few images in.

Bloody glad I did....

I'm taking delivery of my framed limited edition print from Joe over the weekend!

Re: WTB Hasselblad

Hi

I know that a friend of mine is selling her Hasselblad at the moment - her name is Tamara Kuzminski - tamara@kuzminski.co.uk

She's looking at using the proceeds to buy LF gear.

Righty. Had a reply that denied that they were stopping importing I and that there would be plenty of stock.

Let's hope it's true.

Re: Last orders for Velvia 50 QL in UK

Just to see if I could get an official line on it I asked if it was in stock yet and whether it was being discontinued - I got this response: "Hi Paul, that stock will be in the UK mid December. I'm not aware of discontinuation. Thanks, Darron" on reflection I may have asked the went question though...

Re: Ebony SU

As an aside to the cost issue - second hand is still a good option if you felt you wanted to go down that route.

I know that JennyM on these forums has a 45SU in fantastic condition that she is looking to sell when she has time, you could always get in touch with her and see what you could offer her?
