Re: Metering, what's gone wrong?
Hi Paul, You might want to try using a couple of different spotmeters. I found metering much easier when I switched to a Pentax digital spotmeter - for me it was just so simple to use! But I suspect there is an element of what is right for one person is not right for another. I'm happy to lend you m...

Re: Metering, what's gone wrong?
Have you checked the accuracy of your spotmeter in case the problem is with the meter? Do you have a way of checking it against another meter?
Just a thought,
Jenny

That's very sad. I bought a number of items from MXV and was sorry when they closed down. They were always very helpful when I spoke to them on the phone.

Re: WTB: 35mm slide scanner
I know my sanity will be challenged with this task, so the ease of scanning is important, and it would be helpful if the output is a decent quality and won't need too much (any!) work in photoshop afterwards. It would be nice to think I could buy a scanner, get the job done, and then pass on the sca...

Re: WTB: 35mm slide scanner
Thanks Daniel. I should probably have made myself clearer as I do have an Epson scanner, but with a large number of 35mm slides to scan I think it will be a mammoth task to load/unload them into the flatbed holder for scanning. So I am looking out for a more dedicated 35mm scanner which might (hopef...

WTB: 35mm slide scanner
I have a large number of 35mm slides I would like to scan and wondered if anyone has a decent scanner they would be willing to part with. I would prefer the ability to do MF as well, but this is not essential.
Many thanks.
Jenny

Hi Mat,
If you let me have your email address I will send you some images. I don't know if the Wista/Linhof sized boards fit a Horseman 5x4 or not, but I'm sure someone will know.
All the best,
Jenny

Wilkinson 25L tempering unit - TAKEN
This Wilkinson tempering unit is essentially a 25L water bath which plumbs to a tap, has a heating element in the bottom, and holds six 1L bottles which can be heated to and held at your desired temperature, regulated by a thermostat. The metal bodywork is in excellent condition. Although I have not...

Re: Fuzzy focusing
Sometimes it helps to unzip it partially to allow the air to flow a bit. Usually it is still dark enough to compose.
Good luck,

When we moved to Italy last year I left a small kit of three lenses in the UK to save transporting my whole LF kit back and forwards when travelling with the boys. Now we are based in the UK I no longer need these lenses as they are essentially duplicates and I am therefore offering them for sale. T...

Re: Fujnon W 150mm f5.6
I've used a number of different Fuji lenses and they have all been very sharp. I don't know what it might be, but it sounds to me as though you have a problem somewhere..... What was the description of the lens when you bought it? Can you get back to the person you bought it off? All the best, Jenny

Hi Joe,
Welcome to the forum although it feels as though you have been around for a while! Digital to LF is a pretty big step! Look forward to meeting up soon. Keep up with your great work in the woods - I've enjoyed your images immensely.
Cheers,
Jenny
