Re: Processed my first E6

I used the same core and funnel with both - I can only attach one drum at a time so it's not a big problem!

Joanna Carter wrote:Patrick, I've just noticed that you said you are not using the lid? Uhoh!! I really suggest you read the instructions. :D
Joanna - I watched the instructions and there was no sign of TP using a cap!

So what's this red seal all about then?

Re: Processed my first E6

OK, this is what I have:- http://www.yatecourtbarn.adsl24.co.uk/images/Jobo%20Tanks.JPG I already had the 4x5 reel, the 2500 tank and lid came from the print drum that came with the CPE2, the 1500 tank/column/funnel/lid came from SDS - as did the 120/35mm reel. As per someone on here's helpful advic...

Re: Processed my first E6

Losing chemistry is a sign that there is a seal missing at the neck of the tank. You say you used the wrong funnel? Either that, or is the red seal missing? Red seal? The chemistry seemed to be leaking back down the centre column and out into the funnel. I didn't use the red cap because I assumed t...

Re: Processed my first E6

AFAIK, Jobo added the wings to improve flow across 6 sheets because customers had had problems. Some people have continued to use just just 4 sheets even with the wings, and some reckon the wings introduce streaking problems of their own and leave them off. I haven't got any, so I reckon I'll stick ...

Re: Processed my first E6

Well I don't have wings for a start ... but I only did two sheets here in case it all went a bit pear-shaped. One thing I'm not sure of, is that TP is doing washes using half the 250ml in two goes. The data-sheet recommends either continuous washing for each wash cycle, or water changes every 30 sec...

Re: Processed my first E6

Well done! And have you noticed that the usual clip marks you get from the labs are missing? :D Yeah, but I might have some other artefacts instead ... If I use the chemicals one-shot for each tank of 4 sheets, I reckon it will cost around 50p/sheet excluding electricity - but it will be nice to ge...

Processed my first E6

I bought a cheap Jobo CPE2 from eBay, cobbled together a drum, and dug out the 4x5 reel I got as part of job lot with something else. After a few days of practise, I managed to perfect the art of loading 4 sheets in the reel in the dark, and when my E6 5L kit arrived this morning, I was ready to go ...

Re: Field Outdoor Tripod Tent Mobile Darkroom - anyone got one?

Haven't got a Tripod Tent but I do have a changing bag from the same seller and I'm happy with it. The tripod support looks like a good idea.

Re: Clipped corners on ground glass?

Thanks Paul. The pressure thing sounds sensible, especially with the rapid speed at which I zero in on optimum focus and the fast altitude changes my camera experiences, but I don't understand how you check for vignetting with the clipped corners.

Clipped corners on ground glass?

What are they for?

Do I need them?

I've cracked my gg and need to get another - but budget doesn't stretch to Maxwell I'm afraid. The existing one has them, but I haven't ever 'used' them 'cos I don't know how.

I've just sold my QL holder and I'm not giving Fuji any more business than I have to. They couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery and they don't deserve my hard-earned cash.

Re: The wonders of *bay !

I dunno - It seems to me that listing things at silly high prices is just a recipe for not selling anything. It's really up to buyers to shop around. I assume he just doesn't know what prices LF stuff should be, since he seems to sell other stuff OK.
