Hi Folks - Film arrived back. Just to add to the thanks to Sean for arranging a good day out (the beer and food in the Red Lion good too). Ok - the one you were all interested in :- No ND's, Portra 160, polariser to put some detail in the water and a six stop ND filter were used. Shame the light was...

Re: Ridgeway outing?

Ok - here's my view of Waylands Smithy. Its shot on Portra 160. I've also got a Provia shot taken with the same layout but I think I like the shadow detail that's in the trees with this film. I'd also like to add my thanks to Paul for organising a good day out.... http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7175/...

Re: Hello from Southampton

Hi Clive - firstly I hope you enjoyed your jaunt to the Frozen North aka Yorkshire. I'm an ex-pat from the Hull area but have lived away too long - I'm rather partial to the area even now - esp if the local does Theakstons 'OLD P' !!. I now live pretty close to you - I'm in Hedge End - east of South...

Hi Folks - thanks to those of you who critiqued the shot. I've tried to rework with your input in mind. I'm surprised how much more detail / contrast you can drag out of B&W neg compared to Velvia. Thanks Tim. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2714/5848786454_d37b047bb2_z.jpg lighthouse - reworked by T...

Re: Inexpensive chemicals for B&W - where to buy?

Hi Tony - just as an aside - I guess you've already modified the Orbital - putting the epoxy dots on the floor and poss. removing the 'FINS' ?? before you start running up the chemistry bill :-) regards Tim............ PS if not - heres a good start :- http://www.film-and-darkroom-user.org.uk/forum/...
