You have the advantage, Charles. I received my French education in the mountains of the Ardeche rather than at the Sorbonne! Clearly you appreciate the importance of defining one's terms, so you'll also forgive (I hope) if I appear to backtrack a little for the benefit of precision. I have 'captured...

If I have one problem with this kind of discussion it's that I find it hard to resist. I feel like Snoopy watching his dinner arrive ... grrrrrh. Blame it on a Fine Arts degree. And the truth is I wish I had studied Design rather than Fine Art and the accompanying philosophy. On the one hand, 'art' ...

Wanted ... Whole Plate DDS

Anyone got a Whole Plate DDS sitting unused in the trunk in the basement?

Autumn is acomin' and I'm feeling the urge to build another camera; and the sheet film holder is the starting point, but Whole Plate this time.

Any condition considered. :)

PS ... if it's a weekday, then Friday's the only one free here. A Saturday is preferable.

I'm sure there was once an article in Black & White Photography on digital lith, but I've no idea when. This version (I'll take it down anytime you like) I converted to Greyscale and then whacked up the black in Curves. Then a Duotone, then Add Noise, then Surface Blur, and back to RGB. That's a qui...

There's a glue used by dress makers for sticking beads and sequins onto fabric ... CraftSmart Gembond . This is the best I have found for sticking leather or cloth onto metalwork. It's secure, even for vulnerable corners, but it lifts off very easily for repairs. I've used it countless times when fi...

Well ... it was worth the wait. Dave apparently sent my order at least twice to no avail - nothing arrived and nothing returned to him.

But at last they're here ... I now have a fresh set of 5x7 and 4x5 glass to play with. Ironically this final USPS package took a mere 7 days. :?
