Re: 240mm lens advice, please
You might also look at a Schneider 240mm Tele-Arton. I've had one for years and used it on a wooden Wista without any problems. Not much by way of movements at infinity but take a look at: http://www.schneideroptics.com/info/vintage_lens_data/large_format_lenses/tele-arton/data/5.5-240mm.htm . Hope ...

If someone at LPOTY is cropping pix for publication they either don't know what they're doing or, perhaps, don't care.

Re: Testing 8x10 vs IQ180
I was told many years ago that not only were LF lenses not designed to resolve as much detail as lenses for smaller formats (makes sense given the far larger film size; why build higher costs into manufacturing) but that LF emulsions resolved less detail than smaller formats (although I have always ...

Epson 7600
I have for sale one Epson 7600 Stylus Pro printer (24in). I bought it new about five years ago to complete a project and no longer have regular use for it. It has had light use (if any interest I can check how much paper has gone through). It is fully functional and a great really printer. It comes ...

Re: Digital back to film...
Sounds wonderful but the cost is (in round figures) £50 for a 5x4 and just shy of £100 for a 10x8. See: http://www.michaeldyer.co.uk/dyer-image ... or-web.pdf

Re: Lenses for 20" x 16" Camera.
I have a couple of repro lenses standing idle these days. Neither is in a shutter. They are: a Rodenstock f9 480mm Apo-Ronar and a Schneider f9 355mm G-Claron. Both will cover a broadsheet newspaper; if I remember rightly, the Rodenstock covers two pages at 1:1. The Rodenstock stops down to f 260 an...

Re: Enlarger with Ilford 500 head
Hi Adrian. It is about 54in high fully extended with the Ilford head (a little more with the condenser, a little less with the Dichro 45S head. That gives something a bit bigger than 16x20 with the 150mm lens and if II remember correctly something like 24x30 with the 135mm lens.BTW, I've located the...

Enlarger with Ilford 500 head
All now sold. Thanks for the interest. I don't do darkroom these days (apart from developing BW film) so I'm letting go of my Beseler 45MX 5x4 enlarger plus bits and bobs. The enlarger is solid and in good working order. It has a motorised head, a condenser head, a Beseler Dichro head and an Ilford...

Re: Epson V750 vs Imacon 949
Maybe I've been lucky. I wouldn't argue that the Epson 700/750 will match the Imacon but I've been happy with my 750 for LF/MF. I haven't had and serious problems and certainly none concerning focus. Before I purchased the Epson, 12 months ago, I had my LF/MF scanned on Imacon and the results were e...
