They can be found on ebay quite regularly.

Peter Walnes sells second-hand LF equipment at reasonable prices www.peterwalnes.com he doesn't have one listed at the moment but it might be worth giving him a call.

An Update

Yesterday was the most thorough checks I've been through. There was a rigorous check at arrivals, case open show ALL the leads etc, rather a lot :-) But then at the departure lounge it started again I was chosen for a very thorough spot check. The conventional LF equipment sailed through, film as we...

I've been travelling back and forth with my lf cameras since the restrictions with no problem, the camera and most importantly the film go in my hand luggage. I empty the darkslides as they get x-rayed and the would be film ruined. (The carry on scans are safe) Leaving the UK is no problem but the s...

Schneider seemed to have a glut of G-Clarons probably as a result of the fast switch to digital in the printing and graphics trade, and G-Clarons were being sold by some dealers as budget lf enlarger lenses. It's interesting that Schneider themselves don't actually recomend the G_Clarons for use at ...

Actually Ole, Schnieder sold some of the G-Clarons as enlarger lens mounted in their typical enlarger lens barrels. They show up for sale on ebay every now and again.

Matt, if you can wait until early April, I'm abroad until then, you can have a 5x4 enlarger for free, it's got a De Vere cold cathode head and works fine. Also its bench standing, although I used it wall mounted, pick up would be from Worcestershire.

Look on ebay for a Tessar lens, they usually sell at very reasonable prices.

These older lenses are still usually good, I'm using one here in Turkey at the moment, and you shouldn't need to spend vey much either, certainly less than £50

You need to read this

From Dave Parker / Satin Snow

"I have no interest in supporting the traditional photography industry any longer, the industry as a whole is ruthless and unforgiving, and it ain't worth the trouble any longer"

It seems to mean he's giving up.

Hi Tony I own two 10"x8" cameras both Agfa Ansco's, plus an assortment of 5 or 6 5x4's. I don't use the 10x8's as much as I'd like but that was partly down to my work last year leaving little spare time, and a very heavy digital photography & video workflow, which tied me down as I ad to train assis...
