Re: Heads up to Howtek 4500 owners

Hi Gari, Thanks for your information. Yes, I had already discovered that Macs will read but not write to NTFS formatted drives :( , which is why I decided I would need a new external drive as I couldn't get them to network because of the password problems I mentioned. However, as I already had a SCS...

Re: Heads up to Howtek 4500 owners

Hi Clive, Many thanks for the information. The scanner had just been serviced before I purchased it so I think I'll give this alignment tool a miss. With regard to networking, the Mac is on OSX version 10.3.9 so I know it should be feasible. However, it's complicated by the fact that I don't have (o...

Re: Heads up to Howtek 4500 owners

Hi Clive, I saw this ad as well, but having just recently acquired Paul’s Howtek 4500 (Crosfield equivalent actually) I’m not sure I know what it’s for :? . Would it be useful? I’m still busy trying to get the scanner operating with my Win XP PC, rather than the Mac it came with. I wasn’t going to b...

Re: WTB: Rodenstock Grandagon-N 90 mm f/4.5

Hi Peter, Many thanks for the link. I haven't looked at the Teamwork site for a while - their secondhand listings are usually so much out of date that whenever I've enquired about items in the past, they'd long gone! However, it seems that they updated their lists only last week, so I'll enquire abo...

WTB: Rodenstock Grandagon-N 90 mm f/4.5

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has one of these lying around that they don't use or find too heavy to carry! Preferably looking for a greenstripe, later version in mint/near mint condition. Please let me know.
Kindest regards,
Rod.

Re: Modern Victorian Photography

Hi Charles,

I'm desperately disappointed that I won't be able to attend this, especially as it's so close to home. Unfortunately I'll be away that weekend. Still hoping to attend one of John's courses later this year.

Regards,

Rod.

Re: Query re JOBO AutoLab 1500

Hi Joanna/Gary, Thanks Joanna. Oops, my confusion, it's the 2513 tank and 2509n reel I have - if I'd actually got around to using them, I'd probably remember which is which  . Thanks Gary for the warning re development in a 2553 - thought it couldn't be that simple :!: . How do you process 10x...

Re: Query re JOBO AutoLab 1500

Hi Gary/Joanna, Thanks for the replies and apologies for the delay - been away for a few days and just catching up. Gary - I haven't seen a Jobo drum for 10x8, but I've got a Jobo Expert 5x4 drum and I know that wouldn't fit in the ATL1500 :!:. I just wondered if there were any other drum options th...

Query re JOBO AutoLab 1500

Hi All, Does anyone know whether the ATL 1500 can be used to process 10x8 film? I think several members have one of these, including Joanna. According to the JOBO pdf file that I have it's restricted to 5x4, but maybe there's a way round this? Actually, I don't have a 10x8 camera at present, but I'm...

Re: Processing lab for B&W film

Hi Jenny,

My local lab only does colour processing, so I've always sent my B&W to Peak http://www.peak-imaging.com/htmls/film_processing.htm in Sheffield. Never had any problems with them and usually get film returned within a couple of days.

Rod.

Exhibition at Joe Cornish Gallery

Hi, As from tomorrow and until Tuesday 5 July I have a small exhibition of photographs taken with my Ebony 45S on display in the entrance hall of the Joe Cornish gallery in Northallerton http://www.joecornish.com/events/events.asp . Only space for six photographs unfortunately, but they're all fairl...

Re: Odd Result

Hi Paul, Sorry to hear you've had a problem with some of your shots. I got my 5x4 slides (Velvia 100) back from NPS yesterday and they're OK in terms of processing. I'm sure your problem is a light leak caused by pushing the Quickload holder too far into the camera back, beyond the registration slot...

Re: Next official get-together: April16 & 17

Hi Charles, Just a quick note to thank you, your wife and others who organised the get-together. It was the first time I had been able to attend a meeting. Not only did I find it very enjoyable, but it was also really good to see/hear how everyone else works. Thanks also to the wet-chemistry partici...

Hi Charles,

I'm near Northallerton and would be interested in a day out sometime. Perhaps one of us could give Bob a lift if the location's not readily accessible for him? Must be on someone's route? Where do you live, Bob?

Rod.

Re: wtb - nikon 270mm T or fuji 300mm T

Hi Dave, I know it's not what you asked for, but I've just had a note from Peter Walnes indicating that he has a Nikkor-M f/9 300 mm lens for sale in near mint condition for £325. I had been looking for one of these some time ago, but eventually bought a 270 mm G-Claron. Perhaps you could use the Ni...
