Re: Hello!
Welcome to the forum Ernest. Regarding the speculative demise of this forum... there's plans afoot so watch this space... You may want to re-post your images at a smaller size... say 800 pixels wide? as you have to scroll up/down and side to side to see them properly. When you have a moment do you w...

Thanks Andrew, as I say it was just a souvenir indeed this view cannot be repeated now as the tree, made famous by David Ward, is no more... it blew down earlier this year!

"The Coast" A personal view of the English coastline
Just to let you know that I have been involved with participating, designing and organising the printing of a new book! It's a collaboration instigated at one of our Arena meetings and I feel quite privileged to be associated with 4 fine photographers. I will admit now that 3/5ths of the book is dig...

Re: Lake District Spring 2013
I would have loved to have been there but alas I'm due to give a lecture down in Devon that weekend
I did manage a few days in the Lakes last month and would definitely return to Ullswater & Aira Falls, Borrowdale, Buttermere and Rydal Water
Have a fab time!

If you feel brave enough try using a small amount of lighter fluid on the mechanism located under the front plate, works for me every time.

Peak is the lab I entrust with my film and am more than happy. Have also tried The Darkroom in Cheltenham in the past and have had no problems.

Re: Damp and condensation
Welcome to the wonderful, if not frustrating, world of LF. I'm afraid there's no easy solution to this age old problem. I normally carry a few sheets of kitchen towel with me to keep the GG clear but for more sensitive surfaces such as lenses and loupes I use a lens cloth. Breathing through your nos...

Re: WTB: Field Camera
If I were to sell my Chamonix 045N-1 (which I'm not!) £400-£450 would be about right. I think you are better off holding out for a decent field camera though as I definitely wouldn't want to lug around a heavy monorail... saying that there's always the Technikarden or an Arca Swiss which make great ...

Re: Empty film boxes?
I can't help I'm afraid as I'm still using my stock of Quickload but you may want to contact the company you intend to send your film to (Peak Imaging is very good), they often have spare boxes.
