My first comparison

Now I should preface this with a comment that I'm not a film or digital biased, I take both out when on location and use both 'in anger'. Given this however, I've always wondered what the scale of difference between the two is. So when I got my first scans back from a friend, I had to compare the re...

Maybe I have seen too many films, but a jeweller's lupe held in your eye? Charles PS do folk here find lupes really that useful? I seem to get most things sharp without... I imagine for most smaller enlargments (i.e. up to 12x15 ish) and with good eyesight you won't notice much difference. When you...

Haaa much? I can't believe that some folk are prepared to fork out £80 for a dark cloth - repeat, two words: "dark" + "cloth". I can't recommend Richard enough as both artist and host.. The location is particularly picturesque too...

I'll see you there Richard!

Tim

p.s. I met Richard on an LF course in the Hebrides last May and he was a very kind and generous host when we stopped by in October on the way up to Skye..

I've never really understood the difference between a "photographic holiday" and any other kind of holiday? :) I don't think you'll find many people who have been on a light and land holiday agreeing with you. Each location is stayed at for at least an hour and most often two. There is a good mix o...
