I have been watching some 5x4 dds's for sale on that well known auction site.....There was a guy selling one lot of three and another lot of four, both lots in similar condition and ending within 3 minuets of each other. The lot of 4 finished at £18 The lot of 3 finished at..............wait for it....

Thanks Guys for the suggestions....My two options are to spend a lot of money on a V700/750 or £50 on an Epson Expression 1680 offered by a member.
I'm leaning towards the 1680 to get started and then possibly upgrade in the future...What do you reckon?

Hi All, I have been meaning to get a scanner but as always there are many to choose from and which one to go for and which to avoid is beweildering (that don't look like it's spelt right but it sounds good :) ) I'm looking for a middle of the range scanner to scan 5x4, 5x7 and possibly 10x8 b+w negs...

Try cutting some single core cable (aprox 9.0mm diameter) into a 1½ inch lengths taking out the centre core(s) then cut a slit in the cable with a razor blade or scalpel to fit the rail in the tank. You may have to make the slit slightly wider at the ends to facilitate installation and removal but ...
