Re: Robbed by H.M. Customs
Vanman didn't write "wouldn't it be great if there were no taxes" read it again........ It's also my understanding that V.A.T. is a Eurotax and mainly goes towards subsidising peasent farmers in France, Spain and Italy so that they can dump their cheap inferior products onto our supermarket shelves...

Package Forwarding from USA?
Hi,
For those of you who purchase from the USA, have any of you used a package forwarding company? I am looking at a company called Access USA, but any recomendations would be appreciated.
I am trying to get an item that costs £20 over there, but will cost £70 here!

There is a topic on the large format forum here that has some useful info. The guy who markets them in the US is worth reading, and usually has answers to most things relevant.

I have used one, and have had one or two problems, however, if you follow the instruction exactly, it should be ok. Specificaly, the axis of rotation is significant, especially with thinner films such as Rollei IR. The axis should be along the shorter vertical faces as opposed to the longer faces. O...

.....The printer driver has a "raster" resolution, which is set depending on the DPI resolution you select. For example, the Epson 2400 has a raster resolution of 720ppi in all modes except draft mode, where it's 360ppi. This means the driver will convert one pixel into a series of ink dots, readin...
