I have bought very large Kaiser push-on lens caps from RK Photographic in the past. Their website http://www.thedarkroom.co.uk/ only shows the snap-on types but he can get the others.

Looks very interesting but I could not find any details of the carrying capacity. I also saw elsewhere that the quick release clamp is not RRS, Kirk... compatable.

I will do. I've used it a little to do some indoor still life images and was pleasantly suprised how easy it was to level the camera. With the 45SU the tension for the ball head needs to be set almost to the limit but having set the tension, which was quick and easy, levelling was quicker. I should...
