Re: wanted 5 x 7 film holders
Thanks for your suggestions everyone. I will keep looking. In the meantime I'm not stuck. My "new" camera is a Kodak Specialist half plate, which came complete wit some nice Kodak half plate holders. After discovering that half plate film was available, but it was Fuji Acros - my least favourite fi...

I see from the bottom of the page that Registered users: Google [Bot], Peter B, thomaswchapman, Yahoo [Bot] are currently browsing. Now it may well be that these Bots are big LF fans :D and maybe even a Bot can enjoy catching up on the site on a Saturday evening, but I'm bound to say that this is th...

Re: WTB - Ebony 5x4
Yet another 45SU on the auction site, and from a top rated seller. I toyed with bidding as it sat at £1.20 :P , but I'll leave it for the serious players! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ebony-45SU-4x5-Asymmetric-Control-Field-Camera-4485_W0QQitemZ290339446611QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Photography_Film_Cameras_ET?...

Re: Tungsten film where to buy
The Fuji shop lists it in sheets, but not Quickload. You'll have to be sure it is in stock though, as they sometimes advertise and don't actually have stock.

Not in any way a dig at you Joanna, just that their rule 9 states:
9. The discussion of digital image capture, equipment, or hardcopy production is taboo
so it was just a heads-up for potential members.

Ilford price hike
I know it's bad netiquette to cut and paste from another site, but there is a thread on APUG started by Martin Reed of Silverprint regarding Ilford price hikes on 1 September as follows: FP4 HP5 sheet film + 20% Multigrade RC (100 sheet boxes) + 15% Multigrade FB (100 sheet boxes) + 10% Chemicals + ...

There are a lot of good people on that site, but whatever you do, don't mention scanners or Joanna's PS workshop!

Hi Adrian Unless you are desperate to get started, I think you'd be better off waiting for a better deal to come along. The Prefect may well be OK, but you don't really know until you see it whether all the parts are there and if it works consistently well. And unless it has been rewired, you'd bett...
