Just thinking of the photo opportunities between Oban and Skye (midgies permitting of course) is making my eyes water!

Re: Infrared photography using ultra wide LF lenses
Ah, the Lofotens..... I was thinking of a bit further north, as in Finnmark and Svalbald. I have become rather addicted to Svalbald.... :D Hopefully the exchange rate will have improved in a couple of year's time. Steve Ah, I see....Polar-bear country? The exchange rate is pretty good at the...

Hi Ian,
Don't say that..... it would mean that my SV45TE front panel wasn't right....
Several of the Wista panels I bought last year were very tight and so benefited from running a file down the edges.

Re: Infrared photography using ultra wide LF lenses
Hi Steve, That'll be the Lofoten peninsula then? I don't know if it's the weakness of the pound at the moment, but I bought my Ebony wide angle bellows and shade clip for less in dollars from MidWest than I would have in sterling from Robert White. Even with import taxes and shipping, I still saved ...

Re: Infrared photography using ultra wide LF lenses
I haven't used the Rollei IR in 5x4 before though I have heard you need to be very careful with it because the emulsion is coated onto a very thin base (Estar-like) so getting it to sit in the film holder can be problematic. I assume the same applies when it comes to processing. I've used the 120 ve...

And I can't wait to smell that leather strap - something Joanna mentioned in one of her submissions Is this still the UK LF Forum, or have i strayed onto one of those websites my wife warned me about? I use Wista panels on my Ebony. They fit fine, though you have to be careful because the me...

Re: WTB: Metal Field camera + various lenses
There's also a 45AII on the auction website. I recently sold mine and have found myself in situations where it would have been ideal. I can't vouch for the Nikkor 135mm (i've heard it's not the best lens Nikon made for large format) but can for the 210mm and 90mm. I might be parting with a 90mm f8 s...

Re: Durst Laborator Multigraph L1200
As you say Dave, one of the best enlargers ever made. I have the L1000 with Multigrade head and CLS450, but hankered after the L1200. If I was back in the UK, I'd have snapped this up in a heartbeat! When I think of how much my L1000 cost when I bought mine and what they're going for nowadays.... :'...

A nice single malt can help with the cold. Either by heating you up or (if you drink enough of it) forgetting about the cold

Hi Tim / Joanna,
Well, you were right, a small tweek on the screws above the focusing rails has improved the drag on the bed meaning that the locks as less necessary now.
Many thanks.
