If you're looking to buy, I have an RSW in excellent nick which I could be tempted into selling....As a scenic snapper I could get away with an RSW and the 110mm lens.

It doesn't strike me as a big issue. If a holder is empty, and you're away on a trip, simply store it in your normal luggage - i.e. away from your camera bag. If you only ever have loaded holders with your camera then you only need to keep track of exposed/unexposed sheets. Plus it avoids carrying u...

For some reason when they are scanned (possibly due to Tim observations about the nature of the noise) transparencies appear to suffer less from grain (or grain aliasing). PhotoToExe looks good but it seems you'll still need a PC to actually create the slideshow, although slideshows made with the software are apparently Mac-compatible.

Well, there are loads - if a straight slideshow is all you want. The latest versions of the built-in Preview application has a slideshow option and then there's GraphicConverter (usually comes with the OS), or Adobe Bridge which is usually bundled with Photoshop. Not forgetting iPhoto or Aperture or...
