Walker Titan 4x5XL
Sorry Mike, The camera looks totally unsuitable for landscape photography. the lack of rear movements, especially rear tilt means that the camera design is totally retro. For a landscape image that is in sharp focus from the near foreground to "infinity" you would need rear tilt, and rear swing woul...

Does anybody know a U.K. supplier of push on filters. If not does any company sell second hand push-ons.
Thanks for any advice,

Lens help needed
This is all good useful stuff. I do remember reading (not in any official document) that Schneider tweaked the later G-Clarons to be more suitable as LF camera lenses (as opposed to process lenses). I use an older 240mm and a modern 150mm (bought new from Robert White in about 2000) and the quality ...

I've got a 240 G-Claron and they are cheap, sharp and if you move upwards format wise it covers 8x10. Nice lens. it is an F9 but I can live with this.

Bob,
It might be of interest to you that over in the States Jason Russell (he's got a website) sells albumized paper that you sensitise yourself when you need it.
Best wishes,
Vanman.

Remember this post from last year? So Document Art has still not re-appeared and POP has gone. See Retro Photographics web site. I e-mailed Silverprint asking about the availability of POP and they can't even be bothered to answer! It's really sad that a company claim that they cannot produce a pape...

Developing B&W sheet film
Go to Hobbycraft and buy some half sphere plastic bead like things. Superglue some of these to the base of your Patterson Orbital tank. This will stop the film sticking to the base of the tank. Make sure that that the sheets of film can't overlap during processing by gluing bits of plastic to the ba...

Rollei R£ 4x5
The four boxes of film that I ordered arrived today. It's a typical Mr Cad rip off. The website says that they are 25 sheet boxes (I've got the print out in front of me) but I've recieved 10 sheet boxes. I will be contacting the company but I doubt that I'll get satisfaction. They'll say it was a ty...

Rollei R3 4x5
Mr Cad have some boxes of out of date Rollie R3 4x5 (25 sheets) £5-00 a box. I've put my order in today. It's best to phone them as the website is slower than the average snail.

If you can find a second hand Copal/Polaroid shutter (they're a press type shutter) it should keep costs down a bit.

You should have looked at the SRB stand. Filters at very reasonable prices and they were so incredibly helpful. They got some of my cash.

Thanks for the warning Tony, I'll defrost it and check it out. Perhaps Sunday. The daft bit is that I bought some 8 x 10 from J&C a couple of years ago. It was cheap 'cos it was allegedly oversize and it was perfect.

Ian, I saw the stuff advertised on Lindhofs website a few days ago, thats why I headed for their stand. The girl/lady (depends on how old you are) said that it was new and not the stuff made by Foma. For the record it's Pancro ISO 400 25 x 4x5 Emulsion 7480 and traiter avant (use by date???) 01 2009...
