Re: RIP
Thanks Andrew but I prefer 200 and use 5x7 as well as 4x5 & 8x10. I would also suspect that their stock has been hanging around for a while now. Foma Film in Norway did contact me to let me know that they were expecting fresh stocks in the near future. The freezer is running low, in fact if it hadn'...

Re: RIP
Dave, That is such a constructive post. I really struggle to believe that some forum members might have given up LF owing to the demise of Fuji Velvia. I don't do Photoshop but as I understand it you can produce the Velvia "effect" without using Velvia film. Why would you want to scan it anyway when...

Re: RIP
I've got to support Andrews suggestion for Foma film. OK, it's only available in mono but once you learn to handle it it's wonderful. Bloody hard to find in the UK but there are other options.

I've just remembered that Ian was going to organise another meet this year in the Worcester area but it appears that he's banned for some reason or another.

Hello Charles,
Ian did just that a couple of years ago in the Ironbridge area. Nobody from the north turned up.
So it has been tried.

Re: Ilford pricing
Richard,
If you don't know how to use or handle Foma film just learn to live with it. Most of us who use it regularly don't get "pinholes" or "black twigs" whatever they are. We do , however follow the manufactures instructions and advice that we've recieved on other forums.

Re: The Heathrow gauntlet
Well said Andrew. I feel that by now all the Ebony owners on this forum must have mentioned it so many times that we all know who they are now. Now did I brag to everybody about my newley aquired Sinar Norma...............It's got 4x5 & 8x10 backs..........and bag bellows.............and a Sinar/Cop...

Re: Harman 10x8 Pinhole???
Bob Rigsby had a wooden 8x10 pinhole at Focus for, I think, £360. I've got an old shoe box........yours for a tenner (shoes not included).

Re: Still dreaming of 5x4
I'm not gonna start a silly "one is better than the other" argument so this is my last reply on this thread. Two corrections:- 1) Deardorff is the top of the tree as far as wooden cameras go. 2) The Wista DX is a wooden camera, not metal. Luckily neither of these cameras need sniffing or cuddling. V...

Re: Still dreaming of 5x4
You're in the right place to ask about Ebonies. They sniff them and they cuddle them, don't know if they ever take them out of the display cases that you have to store them in and actually use the things. The Wista 45DX is a nice camera at a sensible price. I've had mine for about 12 years now and I...
