Re: Friday 13th from HELL!!!!!
Its unlikey that any regional shop deals directly with Fuji though, more likely they deal with "fuji uk" which is just an importer/distributor.

Re: Friday 13th from HELL!!!!!
I'd wait to hear that from a more concrete source personally. I've lost count of the number of times velvia has been announced as "discontinued" on various forums.

Re: WTB: Light(ish) ballhead for 4x5
It turns out the old style arca heads are pretty heavy, so I'm still looking.

WTB: Light(ish) ballhead for 4x5
Afternoon all I'm on the lookout for a decent ballhead for my second lighter tripod for use with a light 4x5 further from the car (or digital/travel). I'm after something with an arca type clamp (or a 3/8" stud to put my existing clamp on), its got to have friction control, nice and solid, and weigh...

Free - Lightbox in aluminium flightcase!
I can't bear to take this to the tip, so for anyone who wants to look quite the man about town then this is for you: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d175/beardownproductions/Dave/lightcase.jpg Obviously this is a fair size, 20"x14"x7" (those slides in the picture are 6x7s!) so you'll have to come ...

Re: Polarising filter - coated or non coated?
If you can fit the lee ring inside the hood you should be ok, but like you say screwing it in might be fiddly. When i used to use a cokin p-size system i did the trick of puttting a smaller polariser on the lens before the filter holder/ring, but this is also a bit of a pain. If you can do without a...

Re: Polarising filter - coated or non coated?
i wouldn't worry about the coating, my B&W 105mm polariser is uncoated, no problems. It would be quite unusual to shoot into-the-light with a polariser anyway. Uneven sky tone with wide lenses with a polariser is par for the course unless you avoid it. Its not likely to be an easy fix in post, so if...

An old small changing bag should do the trick, and one of the arm holes would let you reach in to pull the darkslide.

Shooting FP4+ and/or Delta for scanning
Quick question for people more experienced at shooting monochrome than I (which is most of you): when shooting FP4+ (or Delta 100) for scanning on a consumer flatbed (in my case a 4990) where would you tend to place the darkest shadow and brightest highlight zones to maintain an easy scan with norma...

Re: fuji quickload ?
There's a box of Provia 100F up for auction with a starting price + P&P of almost £98 for a 20 sheet box/ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/fuji-quickload-4x5-film-/140745612007?pt=UK_Photography_Film&hash=item20c5179ae7 £98 would be obscene.....if boxes of 20 normal sheets weren't going for £60ish now any...

Re: Sergels Torg. Stockholm, Sweden.
I don't know if its just me but something bothers me when viewing this, and I think its because its a couple of degrees of being perfectly vertical - I think it needs rotating clockwise ever so slightly. Other than that its great!
