Re: c41/e6 processing

Thanks for the advice guys. Did my first batch of E6 last night with so so results maybe I'll just try it with a pre-rinse and compare the results.

Thanks again.

c41/e6 processing

Hi folks

I previously posted this question in 'Wet processing'.

Is it advisable to pre-wash film when c41 or e6 processing. I have read conflicting information on this point but what do people here think?

Thanks

Re: balda baldix 120 frame overlap

You may be doing nothing wrong, but simply that the gear teeth in the film winder have worn - at least, that is if nothing worse has occured. I worked on one of these a few months ago with just this problem and it was a (relatively) easy fix with a needle file and the adjustment of a spring. If the...

Re: balda baldix 120 frame overlap

Hi Phil

balda baldix 120 frame overlap

Hello there Okay I have a 120 question..... I have bought an old balda Baldix 6x6 folding camera with an anti-double exposure feature. When winding on the film one needs to wind anti-clockwise fully then wind clockwise fully to get to the next frame, there is a red viewing window in the back but app...

drying marks after c41 processing

Hi there I have just started processing C41 (soon to do E6) in a CPE2 processor. So far I have been following Tim parkin's excellent videos but I have a couple of questions: I am getting drying marks on my negs, any tips on the best way to avoid them? Should I squeegy them before hanging or even dip...

Re: Waste disposal

Hi Charles Sorry I don't have any real answers, except electrolysis! but I am interested in this . At the moment I just worry about the fix or bleach/fix which luckily I can dispose of at work. The rest I just heavily dilute with water before pouring away to PH neutralise it(B&W devs and stops are pr...

WTB #1505 cog for Jobo 2521 or a 2523

Hi

I've been a bit daft and bought a Jobo 2521 tank for my CPE2 processor. I need a #1505 cog attachment or the 2523 tank. If anybody has either of these items or has a line on where to get one I'd be glad to hear from you.

Thanks very much

Re: Albumen Prints...........anyone?

Hi John Thanks very much for the advice. As you probably know, in Spirits of Salts they referred to floating as the traditional method, made it sound a bit tricky but I'll give it a go next time. By the way I've been gold toning my albumens with no discernible change in colour. Do you think this is ...

Re: Hello

Hi Susie Thats a kind offer, would be good to have someone to introduce me. I was planning to make a day trip down with a friend (who has a car) at some point. When were you thinking of going? Maybe we could meet you there or on the way. I see from some of your other posts that you have used Linhof ...

Re: Albumen Prints...........anyone?

Yeah that would be interesting as it was just a story I was told. I envisioned industrial sized tanks being filled with egg white!!!!

On the subject of albumens are there any tips on avoiding streaks as we were applying the nitrate with japanese brushes some were streakier than others.

Cheers

Re: Albumen Prints...........anyone?

I did worry about the cholesterol using up all those yokes!

I'm told that during World War II many yoke recipe books were written in Dresden as a result of albumen being used for the photographic war effort! Anybody else heard this?

Cheers

Re: Albumen Prints...........anyone?

Hi there Did some Albumens for the first time this weekend. My lovely girlfriend showed me the process got some great but varied results, seems like a summer activity, with the a large surface for doing many at the same time. Seems like the more absorbent the paper the richer the tones, using textur...
