if its of any help - for the last 20 years or so the manfrotto 055 with 141 or 410 has proved essentially indestructible in pro. use with the clumsiest of users...

Its also quite possible that a more local member of the LF group might be able to offer the basics that he might need. Watch the thread.
If not, take a look at Linhof and Studio - they have a David Ward (accepted, large format) day coming up - he's another top tutor.

Tom I like simple, its how I think (no jeering, please, its unseemly...!) Understand that transparency film has a limited range, suggested to be 3 to 4.5 stops for example. All - I am disappoimted not to have been able to make this weekend, but I do hope that its all gone well.
