Free To A Good Home: Agfa SganDuo T1200

As I've upgraded to a V750, my Agfa DuoSCAN T1200 is now obsolete. It's a SCSI connected 1200dpi scanner which has a transmittive drawer that I believe will take up to a 10x8 neg/trannie. I've never used it for anything other than scanning for the web, it doesn't have any kind of dust removal etc, b...

Re: Mike Walker knows about our group!

I would be delighted to hear from any who live closer—we are on the Wirral peninsula, not far from Chester. Hi George, Well, there's Steve Lewis in Little Suttom, Tombo in Bidston, and myself in Moreton. I believe Peter Watson lives in Ellesmere Port. There have been a few local meets, Marc and I w...

Yesterday we had, what in these parts and times is an absolute rareity, a dusting of snow. Fortunately I was able to get out and take some pictures, and found myself at a spot where I'd photographed last summer. As I exposed film I thought instantly of the four seasons project! Are we excluding imag...

I looked at the Carbon Fibre version, the MF3/4 of the 055, but decided it wasn't worth the money. It's nearly twice the price of the regular 055, and the weight difference was little more than 1lb iirc. For that kind of money, I'd go on a diet and lose 2 lbs, and be better off  I had the 055...

Hi Tom, I have the Shen Hao 6x12 back - which has masks for 6x4.5, 6x6, and 6x9 (I believe - never used them, I only use it as 6x12). I bought mine off eBay from a seller in Hong Kong, and I've never had a problem with it (except remembering if I've wound or not!). It's built like a tank, hewn from ...

B&H / UPS shipping - a cautionary tale.

Last week I ordered some film from B&H - primarily because they had stock of RVP in Quickload. The good £:$ rate seemed to make the hassle worthwhile. At the moment I'm working all my time out on a client's site, so I'm not at home during the day, but I didn't think that would be an issue because I ...

Hi Tom, I think you may have a back for a 6x9 camera (i.e. 2x3). You need to look for a 'reducing back' from 5x4 (inches) to 6x9 (cm) - but I've never personally seen one of these, only ones that do 10x8 down to 5x4. In all reality, it's probably going to be cheaper to get a 5x4 rollfilm back. I hav...

FS: Fujinon SW 90/8

Absolutely mint condition current model Fujinon 90/8 for sale. I've used this lens once, the previous owner bought this from Robert White earlier in the year and had never used it. The lens is mounted on a Linhoff/Wista clone panel. A little history, I bought this a month or two ago in an attempt to...

A second vote for the Sekonic L-608 here - the second ISO function is very useful, as is the averaging function, as is the meter readout in the spotmeter finder.

The freezer stock is getting quite low now after a week in Scotland :(. Didn't manage a box a day though. Hopefully this will mean that I can return the Velvia section of the freezer to normal operational use and gain brownie points... But what for Velvia though - I don't think that Fuji would be ab...

Not yet and as we're likely to be passing through in a few days... "If there are any you'd like to try just ask, we have samples of most". I came away with a bottle of Laphroig quarter cask. If you've not been through before then it's at the Green Welly Stop, on the RHS at the end of Tyndrum. If yo...
