Re: Hello from Sunny Porthcawl, Wales
Andrew you are correct. I saw a secondhand Walker 57 about 18 months ago on ebay- but it was in Spain.

Re: Hello from Sunny Porthcawl, Wales
Quick update Folks. My Walker XL 57 has arrived, been used, film developed and Devere enlarger kicked into life (but not used, there were some problems). Need to produce some prints sometime. However, I probably have one of the worst spare bedroom darkroom set ups out there (it was part of the exten...

Re: LF darkroom enlargement vs scanning
Having said the above, I would like to get a V750 or similar, because I have one or two negs with scratches on which I would like to repair digitally .

Re: LF darkroom enlargement vs scanning
All depends if you like swanning around in the dark, with wet chemicals, so sitting in front of a PC/MAC screen all the time. I find the darkroom a 'nice' change. Plus all the enlarger stuff now second hand is dirt cheap. I have a Meopta Magnifax 4 for negs up to 6.5 to 9cm, its not that big, simila...

Re: Coming back to photography
I am tempted by the Walker 8x10XL and putting a 5x7 back on it and having the best of both worlds - but the expense .

Re: Coming back to photography
Dave, you are using the same formats as me, also aspiring to 5x7 now I have a devere 507 (which I have found is missing its head lifting pins). However, I do seem to be using 35mm a lot (partly due to the resurrection of my old Minox GT.

Re: Hello from Sunny Porthcawl, Wales
Hi Paul, I will be up for that. But I will be sorting out the house extension for the next 1-2 more weeks at least. I spent 2 hours last night removing brick dust of books (I seem to have a lot more book than I thought, which happen to be over the bench area where I develop my prints.

Hello from Sunny Porthcawl, Wales
Thanks to Paul O for flagging the site, I have now finally signed up. Have been using LF for over two years (MPP VII+ VIII 5X4), but my house extension has taken out any LF usage for nearly a year ( the room I use as a darkroom was one of the rooms being extended). I have also been shooting 6x12 wit...
