Hi there

I have just started processing C41 (soon to do E6) in a CPE2 processor. So far I have been following Tim parkin's excellent videos but I have a couple of questions:

I am getting drying marks on my negs, any tips on the best way to avoid them? Should I squeegy them before hanging or even dip them in some standard wetting agent after the stabilizer?

Is pre-washing the film a good idea? I have read conflicting advice on the subject, the theory makes sense to me but some sources say don't do it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks guys

I mix the stab using distilled water, have you tried that? Never bother with a squeegee.
