Workshop 4 Details (note minor date change)

Post by masch » Mon Jun 26, 2006 10:20 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Just in case nobody has spotted this yet, on either the mailing list or the main webpage. Below is Paul and Jo's anouncement, as it is going onto Robert White's website (soon).

4th UK Workshop

27th October – 3rd November 2006 in Glencoe

The United Kingdom Large Format Photography Workshop is an informal gathering of large format photographers based in the U.K. who meet to exchange information, practices and take photographs on planned field trips.

The group was formed in response to an increasing number of photographers exploring this more traditional approach to photography who employ large format cameras in their search for ultimate quality and control over the photographic process.

This is the fourth such "gathering" and will be a landscape workshop based in Glencoe. It will run, at least, from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th October, but due to the distances involved, we anticipate that some people may want to stay for longer. Some of us will be there from the Thursday before until Friday 3rd November 2006.

There is no requirement as regards level of experience or expertise. Everyone is welcome to attend for all or part of this workshop - hardened users and complete beginners alike. The only pre-requisite is that you own or have access to large format camera equipment.

There are no fees involved - this is a "free" workshop

The only costs incurred will be for accommodation, food, travel and any film you use!

Places limited to 30 participants

We anticipate meeting at the Kings House Hotel on Rannoch Moor and need to book places there as soon as possible. Anyone wanting to stay at the hotel is advised to contact us urgently so that we can avail ourselves of any group booking rates.

For more information, please send a PM to Joanna Carter

Sponsors are (as last time):
  • Ilford
    Fuji
    Format
    Black Jacket
    Robert White
----------------------

The earlier start date was chosen after feedback requesting the inclusion of a weekend, so people would not have to take too much time of work.

Some people will stay on until Sunday.

I hope to see you all there...

Marc
