Forgive me for being naive but it appears to be a free advert as a Sponsor, and a minimal discount of a new camera.

On other sites Sponsors pay towards the hosting costs etc.

We have always listed companies as sponsors if they give us favourable terms on their products.

The idea is that we help them to stay in business by extending the reach of their advertising, in exchange for a discount for those attending a workshop or, as with Mike, for a limited period.

We do not expect suppliers to give these discounts continuously as we would not want such arrangements to undermine retailers who also need to make a living.
