Shooting FP4+ and/or Delta for scanning

Quick question for people more experienced at shooting monochrome than I (which is most of you): when shooting FP4+ (or Delta 100) for scanning on a consumer flatbed (in my case a 4990) where would you tend to place the darkest shadow and brightest highlight zones to maintain an easy scan with normal development?

So far I've just shot without giving it much thought but had the odd shot where the shadows are too thin, or highlights too dense, so I just want to nail this.

Not that I'm experienced in shooting LF B&W film but using Delta 100 this is what I currently do. I place the darkest shadow in zone 3 and if this places the highlight in zone 8 then I'm happy as this seems to give me a scan I can work with using the V700.
