Who is regularly shooting 10x8 Black and White film?

A place to talk about cameras, lenses, tripods, etc. and how to use them

Who is regularly shooting 10x8 Black and White film?

Post by David Loney » Sun Aug 04, 2013 7:29 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I've just been taking some self-portrait promotional shots in Black and White large format and wondered who else in the UK is shooting 10x8 film regularly.

I've been experimenting with Adox CHS 50, and Ilford HP5 plus. I've shot about 10 sheets of film in the last 2 weeks and I'm interested to know how much Black and White is currently being shot in the UK.

Let me know please.

Thanks for any response.

I'm shooting 8x10. Mostly TMax 400, and have a box of 50 sheets winging its way over from the US at the moment to keep me in 8x10 for the foreseeable future - although I have a stash of Foma 400 too. I've found myself shooting more 8x10 than 4x5 lately. I'm just really, really enjoying using my Tachihara. Once I'm set up in my place (I've just recently moved to London after 5 years overseas) I plan to contact print those negatives.

I'm shooting 8x10, but colour only.

Got 100 sheets of E64T in the freezer and some 160S remnants in holders.

Might try B&W soon, colour film is getting silly expensive.
