I was out photographing the snow today, and having a great time. However, after 3 hours, whilst I was working on a panoramic shot with a snowy mounain, a loch, and two swans, I discovered that my trusty Pentax analogue spotmeter had stopped working. Batteries are fine, the light works as well, but the needle doesn't move when I depress the "take reading" button. I had to guess the exposure for that shot, then had to come home to grab a spare meter.
Question is, where can one get these repaired? Production ceased in 1980 I believe, and parts would be difficult to get. Any suggestions as to who might be able to help?

Not sure but you may get some leads from here http://www.kyphoto.com/cgi-bin/forum/discus.cgi
Also I've used Camserve for an SLR lens repair, and they were very good. They might be able to help http://www.camserve.co.uk/ourservices.html

Pentax have their own repair department, they may be the best option.
