Tip for a scanner cover

I have found that one of the small backpack covers will fit the v700 / F1 perfectly to keep dust out. They come with an elasticated throat making it easy to get a good fit. YMMV but I found this works after looking at dedicated computer alternatives.

Great idea! I've been looking for a similar cover for my 3800 printer - rather than the towels that I currently use!

Good idea, I think I may even have one of these buried in a box somewhere at home.
