Canham cameras
I see that Rob. White no longer import Canham cameras. Anyone know why - $/£ exchange rate? Or what? Anyone with experience of the Canham? Thanks.

Re: Canham cameras
I had a 5x7 for some time and now have a 10x8. Great cameras - well built and Keith Canham a wealth of advice and information should it be required. Highly recommended. If you have deep pockets I know that Colin Myers is looking to sell his 14x11

Re: Canham cameras
Mike Walker has previously obtained new Canham cameras for customers. It may be worth giving him a call if you are interested.

Re: Canham cameras
Thanks for the info. I am thinking specifically of the metal 5x7 as being the lightest I can find.

I have a Canham camera which I bought directly from Keith. Great guy to deal with.

my gut feeling (such as it is), is that RW's sales were fairly low and it just didn't make business sense to continue stocking them
I've one of Keith's early 5x7 woodie's - an excellent camera and if one is into extensive shift and swing on the rear, there's no better place to look as these movements are really significant compared to other 5x7's
fwiw, some people find the operations on these canmeras to be fairly confusing and perhaps over elaborate - my view is, is that you just need to become over acquainted with them and then there's no problem - fwiw, the much respected Sandy King sold his Canham for very similar reasons - he now uses a Shen Hao and was when I last heard more than satisfied with it
