Satin Snow GGs
I have just recieved 2 satin snow GGs from the US. I ordered from Badger graphic, they have Shen Hao replacements for $10 each!!.
I ordered them on the 29 Dec and they came this morning, postage was about $20 I think, I figured that at that price it was worth the risk.
I have the darkest screen imaginable(fellow MPP owners may not need to imagine ) The difference is amazing. They have a little of the corners cut off, no more than my Cambo screen, and they are 102mmx128mm. They fit the MPP ok but the cambo is a spot on fit.
Bargain!!!

If someone is desperate I don't use the Cambo so could let that one go, it is technically a spare.
I would suggest that if people are interested you could get a collective order and send it in, the postage cost would be spread making the screens even cheaper. If the collective mention the group/website it may attract some coverage/support over there. Considering the ease I found in ordering I see no reason why we couldn't court sponsors from that side of the pond.
I have had stuff in the UK take longer to get here, and as for the cost, £15-20 is the average to get anything here to the "highlands and Islands".

You need to read this
From Dave Parker / Satin Snow
"I have no interest in supporting the traditional photography industry any longer, the industry as a whole is ruthless and unforgiving, and it ain't worth the trouble any longer"
It seems to mean he's giving up.

I browse APUG also, when going back on the site after a longish lay-off there were various threads alluding to a fall out between Sean/APUG and Dave.
Not sure what the details are but it seems he no longer participates there.
Lets hope he isn't getting out of the game, great screens and we need all the LF makers we can get, whatever they make.

I emailed SatinSnow's Dave Parker yesterday about the delivery of my screen (ordered early october) and he told me it was in the post, as well as several others for the UK...
Hi Michel,
You should have it in the next few days, it was mailed about a week ago, with a bunch of other UK orders...sorry for the long wait, but it should be there very soon now.
Dave
