Do any folk here know about George Rousse? He's produced some great snaps. I found out about him on the French forum while asking them if they knew of any artists investigating the fact that film is "only" a 2D representation of 3D space. If anybody here knows any other artists working the same vein, I'd be keen to know. Franco Fontana's landscapes are another example.

I'm not sure they're either, or rather they're both. From what I could gather reading the text on the site, the works are specifically created for the camera's viewpoint. In other words, the camera/photography is an essential part of viewing and recording the artwork which is otherwise ephemeral.

It's a long time since I studied the work of the Structuralists, but I detect a hint of Derridan fun and games here – and that's the first time I've ever written the words 'Derrida' and 'fun' in the same sentence. And probably the last.
