Photoshop Workshop - final call

Post by PAUL O » Sun Jul 26, 2009 4:34 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

A final call-to-arms to anyone interested in a day-long Photoshop course in Birmingham led by Jo Carter?

An opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a LF scanning/printing workflow!

Spaces are strictly limited and the cost is £150 - included in the price is the offer of free monitor calibration too!

As Paul says, we have now arranged a venue - Birmingham; and a date - Saturday 15th August.

The suggested agenda will include :
  • Colour mangement in Photoshop including profiling of monitors, scanners and printers.

Getting the most out of scanning negatives and transparencies on a flatbed scanner.

    Retouching tools

    Adjustment layers and layer masks

Dodging, burning and split-contrast for B&W images

    Colour balancing of colour images

    Cropping and scaling of images

Plus anything else that crops up on the day.
Please contact me ASAP as numbers have to be limited to around 5-6 people.

Also, as Paul mentioned, you can bring along your monitors and scanners for profiling and, if you want a profile for your printer, let me know and I will send you a target to print out and bring on the day.

Oh, I wish. But I broke my leg and it's been a long recovery. What about next summer? I could arrange to be in the UK at the right time.
If any are interested, I could do a one-day event on panorama photography. http://www.artfaul.com/index-artfaul.html
