The return of Polaroid film... under a new name

Post by Thingy » Mon Aug 17, 2009 12:57 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Over the weekend I read an interesting article, by Tim Bradshaw, the FT’s digital media correspondent, on an attempt by some former employees of Polaroid's factory in the Netherlands, to make small batches of the film for affectionados. The original article, Bringing back Polaroid’s instant film, was in the FT Weekend Magazine: 15-16 August 2009, pp26-29, and is also available below:

The new firm, calling itself The Impossible Project has its own website below, for those interested. For the innovators on this site, there are also opportunities to assist them with their objective of producing an improved emulsion with better properties than its now, defunct predecessor film media.

Hi Thingy
I read in BJP that they had also bought the old equipment to make 10x8 polaroids as well
Things are looking up
shame they have no plans to do 5x4 yet
