I'm not sure if anyone drops in or even knows about this UK-based forum - FADU (Film and Darkroom User)? A forum devoted to all things well ... film and darkroom-based
Here's a link:

There are a lot of good people on that site, but whatever you do, don't mention scanners or Joanna's PS workshop!

But I only use PS because I don't have room for a wet darkroom and I really don't want to go back to the heady odours of Hypo just to turn out a print. I only use PS as if I were in a darkroom; no trickery like dropping in skies.
Anyway, most folks that have a wet darkroom tend to be limited to B&W printing; I would sorely miss the beauty of those 4x5 'chromes

Not in any way a dig at you Joanna, just that their rule 9 states:
9. The discussion of digital image capture, equipment, or hardcopy production is taboo
so it was just a heads-up for potential members.

Agree, they are a friendly bunch and really not as evangelical about traditional processes as APUG are. They know that some of us, for whatever reason, don't have access to a darkroom, although I still process all my own B&W film, and realise that... one just keeps the word dddddigitalll to a minimum.

I realise you weren't having a go at me Peter but, I must say that I find the attitude of "Silver Purity" to be a little outdated now. Especially since the great AA (peace be upon him) is now being reproduced in D******; and what is more his relatives who are running the enterprise are having a hard time determining which are the original silver prints and which are the digital^H^H^H (darn I said it

)
After all, I still use film
