Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

Well, we went to Glen Etive last Sunday. Me and little "Eboneezer" - last time we were there I'd found a promising little area with a mini-promontory of river-eroded rock and a crystal clear little pool full of a rich brown underwater plant of some sort, contrasting beautifully with the granite and the green grassy banks.
With a bagful of tips re' focus and movements and fresh from a few days of practice (thanks Joanna), full of the joys I made my way north.
It chucked it down.
The forecast was "sunny intervals and showers". The weatherman was half right, ie there were showers. Sunny intervals were replaced by wind (must have been a change of plan by the meteorologists). "15 degrees", which I had thought was the expected temperature, turned out to be the angle of the rain...
However, the patience of the landscape photographer knows no bounds - geological time rules. During a lapse or two in the waterworks I managed to get 2 exposures - trying out Fuji 160S. Work in progress, I think, and a reminder of the location for future.
When we finally decided to chuck it - discretion being the better part of wasted film etc, we made our way home. Only to find that it had been a glorious day - ideal for a walk with a large format camera through the woods and along the riverbank just a few yards from the house
Anyway, my 2 neg's are off to Peak Imaging for processing - I've asked for a 15x12 from each to check my progress on the movements etc.
