Redhighlighted names

Seems like favouritism to me :D

You have to :

- work into the night debugging the database problems
- install and configure the software and and the regular bug fixes and updates
- manually edit the code to effect the changes to the look of the site
- take regular backups of the whole shooting match
- vet the signup requests
- spend hours researching "why the hell it's *!$£!%&%!£%$ doing that!!"

Actually I asked because it's not normal on Forums for a Moderator to have any special highlighting unless they are specifically Moderating a thread, as opposed to just taking part in general discussion.

It's the default setting on PHPBB, which is by far the most popular board software in use, and by a significant margin, so I guess it could be perceived as normal. I'm sure there is an option to actually turn it off, but nobody was bothered by it before, so we've not looked into it. If people want it disabled, we could probably do that, not my call to make, I'm just the techie, Marc is the 'owner' of the board.

Marc, who's Marc. I assumed it was Joanna's show.

Not on your life! Paul Owen started the group, Marc Schmidt, Charles Twist and myself were merely the suckers who "volunteered" to keep things going. Paul is very busy and doesn't have as much time as he would like to look after us all, Marc is also tied up with too much work for his own good  but arranged for the hosting for the site and forums; and Charles looks after the maintenance of the web site content. Finally DJ is a very welcome late addition to the techie side of things. I somehow manage to find the time to keep an eye on the forums and prod people when things need doing or workshops need arranging.

Nah guys.
I just co-ordinated the first version of the board and the website. For about a year, DJ has been dealing with the tech side of the board things vastly more efficiently than me. He is also the one who sorted out the complex major version upgrade recently with only really very minor input from myself and Jo ("This colour would be better...")
In fact, coming to think about it, apart from occasional new user vetting, I don't really deal with much on the board any more
Oh and Ian, admins and Mods are different things, it is just that in our case all Mods are also admins :)

Rosé-highlighted names

Taking into account the average temperatures here, I prefer rosé to red these days :aww:
À vot' santé !
And which colour for the super-moderator, the only one allowed to moderate immoderate moderators who a reluctant to self-moderate themselves ?
