I have tried to use their website and had the same problem. Also when I ring both of their contact telephone numbers, I get constant ringing and no answer. No Idea what the problem is. Annoying as I wanted to purchase something from them...at a cheap price!

I'm afraid they have closed down according to the AP thread at the link below, and that is quoting a company source. It's a shame as they were a good company to deal with. :(

Yep they've shut. They did have their faults but the prices were usually keen, and they were one of the few (only?) uk retailers to give you 12 months warranty on used gear.

I just want to know what happened to all their remaining stock!

I was wondering where they'd got to.
It's a shame they've gone the journey, but like Dave said, what happened to all that stock?!

With most of the country looking for it, I doubt there'll be too many good deals left.
Best regards,

I am very sorry to hear they've gone under too. They were a useful source of affordable add ons to my Ebony.

Instead of handing £175Bn to bankers who are already awarding themselves boni for bankrupting the taxpayer, a little help in this direction would have been a better investment for the taxpayer! :@

Paul will be reinventing himself. Perhaps an ebay shop. He had a stall at the camera fair in Brighton last Sunday.

Thanks for that news Bip. Could you keep us posted and post a link if he goes eBay?

BUMP: Spotted this ebay seller - I recon it could be the reincarnation of MXV:

http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/penumbra0909

Clue being they're based in the same neck of the woods, and all their warranties are covered by Protech whom MXV used to work hand in hand with. Same 12-month guarantee. Same flat-rate £9 postage on everything. Prices seem a bit higher than we're used to from MXV though.

I think you're right!
Paul's not answering his mobile phone.
Maybe he's wandering around Sussex in a mask and cloak!!!

I have just bought 5 s/h DDS's from Penumbra and asked the question. I will post their reply when I receive an answer.
