Has anyone used a Melico Photolog Densitometer TDI? I bought one a while ago off ebay for a decent price, howether it came without an instruction manual or calibration chip/device. I have searched high and low for a manual but I have failed in finding one. Does anyone know where I could find one or even better has anyone had experience with this densitometer? I will no doubt purchase a step wedge from Stauffer Industries, but I am unsure whether or not that will suffice in properly calibrating my densitometer. I have been told that it is important to follow the manufacturers procedure when calibrating, but without being able to find a manual I am a bit stuck.

Doing a Google search doesn't make your search look very hopeful does it? People have been asking before on other forums, and nobody has come up with a source for instructions. Have you tried sending a message to the people who asked the same question on Aplug and the US LF sites (a few years ago) to see if they figured it out?

Finally it's not the same thing as item NEX052 on here is it (for sale with instructions for £9 http://www.the-camera-house.co.uk/7.stm)

No, google has failed me! . I have seen the links you placed below, I cannot find the model I own, perhaps it is a much older model that has been renamed over the years? Either way I cannot even find information on the company, if I could get that information then I could make some head way.

I may ask others who have experienced a similar problem , like you suggest.
