The SC2001 says its for flatbed scanners where as the SXL2001 dose not

You do realise that the Better Scanning mounting station works very well without any fluid?

Start by calibrating it dry (back of film to underside of AN glass), then do some scans at 1200ppi, without any resizing. This will give you a 5x enlargement, possibly with more detail than you need. And it's a lot less messy than fluid mounting.

I just realised I didn't really answer your question as you asked which 2001 – I use SSL 2001, although I use a drum scanner it would be fine with a flat bed I think.
