Focusing loupe

Post by Darwinean_John » Tue Feb 16, 2010 10:42 am Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I hope to receive my Maxwell focusing screen with camera around the middle of next month and, to complement it, wondered which focusing loupe to get – to be used for internal low-light wide-angle architectural work (probably 75mm f4.5 Grandagon-N with centre filter at most).
What are the most important characteristics of a focussing loupe - focusable, size / shape of skirt, optimum power level, brightness, long / short, ........ ?
Any recommendations? Wonder whether or not to get a Maxwell or Schneider loupe?
Still learning to see
