Inkjet paper

Does inkjet (sorry! giclee) paper go 'off' in the way that silver papers can with time? I've been using some old stock (c.4yrs old) and they seem to lack contrast when compared with earlier prints. The papers are Lyson matt using Lyson inks (pigment) and I've had no issues with them in the past. Current stock paper is ok.
