20 sheet boxes of Fuji film....

Post by Thingy » Sun Jul 18, 2010 11:17 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I have just noticed that Robert White are starting to sell the new 20 sheet boxes of Fuji 5x4 film. Their prices (ex-VAT) are as follows:

20 sheets of:

Pro 160S are £45
Velvia 50 are £41 (they still have some 10 sheet packs selling for £19.45)
Velvia 100 are £43 (they still have some 10 sheet packs selling for £19.50)
Velvia 100F are £43
Provia 100F are £38 (they still have some 10 sheet packs selling for £17.50)
However, you can still buy boxes of Provia at 7dayshop for £15.49

They are also selling off their Velvia 100 10x8 film, which has apparently been discontinued by Fuji, for £40 for 10 sheets.

You can still also buy Pro 160S QL film for only £60 for a box of 20. On ebay it is selling for £95 a box!

A very timely update on this Fuji transition taking place. This is at least a good sign that we should start seeing this take place at B&H in the states shortly. Good news, thank you. :)

I forgot to add that you can also buy Acros in boxes of 20 sheets from MACO in Germany. It is not yet available in the UK, though.

Not seeing it on the list here, but is Astia still in the mix? Lots of Astia shooters in the group over here in California are looking for updates too.... :)

You can still buy 10 sheet boxes of Astia from MACO. I bought 5 boxes last year. Linky below.

I haven't encountered anywhere alse in the UK or Europe where you can get it - then again as I can only read the Scandinavian languages and German, that limits my searching capabilities. :?

Apparently Astia is still out there, which is a good thing. I know many more Astia shooters then Provia users, if Fuji decides to make any deeper cuts overall. :(

Pro 160 NS is now listed on the Fuji Film shop website too at £52.88 for 20 sheets.

However I just bought up the last 11 packs of Pro 160 from BHPhoto in the US at $16 per pack. Including import taxes it worked out at £1.70 per sheet rather than the £2.60 per sheet in this new 20 pack. I'd have gone with 7days if they had stock. I just don't understand UK film prices ... it's just so much cheaper to import yourself!

We have a real mixed bag of per box listings as well as pricing all across the USA vendors right now. B&H usually has the best source if not the overall best pricing at times. In California, Samy's Camera typically has had very good pricing over the years, but supply could wavier from product to product. As such I've pretty well stuck with the excellent access to most all products through B&H. Although we've yet to see the influx of 20 per box on the Fuji products anywhere to date.

I've just received an update from Robert White to say that my order for a 20 sheet box of Pro 160S has shipped - so it's definitively in the UK now and is probably available from other outlets as well.
