Latest LF film updates ?

Post by Trail Images » Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:23 am Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Happy New Year to all.
Does anyone have any recent updates to share with regard to Fuji's seemingly lengthy roll-out and transition away from Quickloads overall? Looking at many of the top vendors in the USA these days shows little or nothing in stock of LF transparency sheets at all..... :?:
Additionally, I saw a small comment at another site today stating Kodak just dropped the E-100VS...... :(

Kodak have also dropped Tmax in all but 4x5, although Keith Canham (of Canham Cameras) is putting together a custom order (that has exceeded it's minium quantity) for 8x10 tmax.

Fuji sheet film in the new 20 sheet boxes, in 5x4 format, has been available since the end of last year.

Thank you for the updates here.
I was aware of the Fuji 20 sheet per box item taking place some time ago, however, here in the states the amount of LF film in any quantity or type is dismal IMO. B&H who is no doubt the largest vendor in the states does not even have a decent supply these days. They did at least sell the V-50 in QL's for quite sometime after the QL demise. I suspect the low stocking by some vendors could be based upon the glut buying worldwide as the QL supply was going away. But, I would have thought by now that would have been over with and the newer 20 sheet boxes would be selling, again, from what we see here state-side. Good to at least see the UK is receiving the product, hopefully it's a positive sign for the upcoming future here state-side.

I finally received an email back from Fuji USA yesterday. That was after I'd also sent an email to Fuji Japan. This does not exactly address the issue we face right this minute in the USA with vendors not stocking or very little of it, but at least we know it's truly available...... :D
