but I get a message: Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.
The technical question was going to be - what is the shutter on this lens, and does anyone know where I can get a mounting ring? Compur, Sinar?

seems like more than a decent price for that lens - the 'no returns accepted' statement always amazes me, it deters potential punters.............................
teamwork or mr cad will almost certainly have a retaining ring
if you need any more detail regarding what sort of ring you need, there's an excellent table on the 'sk grimes' website

I ain't complaining about the price on that lens, Andrew - though the seller has not yet responded to a polite enquiry seeking the mounting ring.
I can't find anything on Mr CAD or Teamwork, but it looks like S K Grimes can supply for twenty bucks - I'll drop them a line. Or I found this one on ebay in Canada...

Ah, gotcha.
Since I wrote earlier, I've had a polite note from the seller: he bought the lens with no retainer, but has some which he will inspect to see if any is the right size.
Let's see what happens.
