It seem hybrid photography has come full circle, with Ilford now making it possible to have monochrome digital images converted back to negatives, in 10x8 format, on FP4 film.

I expect it will be VERY expensive though.

The film industry has been 'printing' digital onto film negs for a number of years at 4k film resolution. They edit digitally, then print a roll of film and get it copied optically for the prints that go out to cinemas for playback, that is a 4096×2160 digital file onto a 35x19mm neg. nice to see it could become available to us mere mortals though.

Sounds wonderful but the cost is (in round figures) £50 for a 5x4 and just shy of £100 for a 10x8. See: http://www.michaeldyer.co.uk/dyer-image ... or-web.pdf
